The best way to have a relaxing Christmas morning is to prep your breakfast the night before! I want to bring you some of my favorite make ahead breakfasts to help you be successful at a lazy Christmas morning!

Collage of make ahead breakfast ideas: quiche, bourbon pecan cream crescent rolls, french toast casserole

Tomorrow I am hopping on a plane and headed to Puerto Rico with the family I am a private chef for. We will be there for 8 days. I will definitely be working the whole time, but I am looking forward to some warm weather and relaxation during my off hours. It will be strange not celebrating Christmas with a lot of family for the first time, but I am thankful my husband will be with me. I’ve been working like made to prepare for the trip which means I haven’t had any time to cook you anything new! BUT I have some awesome recipes for you to peruse today!

I love lazy holiday mornings. As much as I love to cook, there is nothing better than lounging in my pj’s with coffee while breakfast that was prepped the night before is being baked. There is no reason anyone should be slaving over the stove or cleaning up tons of dishes when quality time with the family is at stake! So here are my favorite make ahead breakfasts for a lazy Christmas morning!

Overnight Eggs Benedict Casserole

Eggs Benedict casserole on a plate topped with hollandaise sauce

Eggs Benedict is my all time favorite breakfast, but on a lazy morning the last thing I want to be doing is poaching eggs! My Overnight Eggs Benedict Casserole is the perfect solution!

Blueberry Strawberry French Toast Casserole

French toast casserole topped with berries and cream

This Blueberry Strawberry French Toast Casserole from Flavor Mosaic has cream cheese baked into it!!! Do I need to sell you on this harder? Perfect to use up your day old bread and serve with a berry sauce to add a little brightness into your cold morning. Sauce and casserole can all be prepped the night before. Just bake in the morning!

Quiche with Leeks, Thyme and Goat Cheese

Quiche sliced into wedges

One of the things I love so much about quiche is that you can completely prep and bake it 24 hours before you want to serve. I love quiche served at room temp, or you can gently warm it in the oven. This Quiche with Leeks, Thyme, and Goat Cheese from Natural Girl Modern World happens to be gluten free and did I mention GOAT CHEESE?!

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon Rolls slathered with cream cheese frosting

I really need you to understand how good these Overnight Cinnamon Rolls are. They are SO GOOD! I’ve tested them out on quite a few family and friends and have been told they are the best cinnamon rolls they have ever had. I even made you a video tutorial for this recipe in case you are intimidated by working with yeast. I promise I made it easy for you. Pop these in the oven on Christmas morning and your family will be in a cinnamon sugar coma before you know it.

Sourdough Egg Breakfast Bake

Sausage and egg breakfast bake on a plate with a fork

I love how simple and perfect this Sourdough Egg Breakfast Bake is from Tastes of Lizzy T. With just a few simple ingredients this casserole is a snap to prep but filled with all the comfort of a hearty breakfast. Plus, sourdough! Yes! Prep the night before and bake in the morning, or even prep and freeze it weeks or months ahead of time!

Bourbon Pecan Cream Crescent Rolls

Bourbon Pecan Cream Crescent rolls

I am so in love with these Bourbon Pecan Cream Crescent Rolls from May I Have That Recipe! The crescents can be stuffed the night before and baked in the morning. The filling involves pecans and cashews, maple syrup, and did I mention bourbon?! Sign me up! This recipe happens to be vegan if you use vegan crescent roll dough, but I am over dreaming of stuffing a little smokie into those crescents with the filling. How good does that sound?!

Pecan Kringle

Danish ring filled with pecans and topped with glaze

This Pecan Kringle from Karen’s Kitchen Stories is so pretty! Can you imagine the smell of fresh bread, cinnamon, and pecans baking in the oven while you are spending time with your family in the morning? I’m not sure how it could get much cozier than that!

Bacon and Egg Strata

I am such a sucker for breakfast casseroles and this Bacon and Egg Strata from That Skinny Chick Can Bake has won me over! Lots of cheddar cheese and lots of bacon can pull me in pretty quickly!

Baked Gingerbread French Toast

I have been swooning over this Baked Gingerbread French Toast from The Worktop. It is packed with every flavor of the holiday season you could dream about and makes for an easy and cozy holiday morning breakfast!

Mushroom, Bacon & Egg Pie

Mushroom, bacon and egg hand pie

Mushroom Bacon and Egg Pie from The Flavor Bender is definitely a pie I could get down with! Prep these savory pastries the night before and bake in the morning. Can you just imagine that flaky crust with the hearty filling! So good!

Dulce De Leche Cinnamon Rolls
